About Fedhealth
Fedhealth provides cover for approximately 143 000 lives and offers a choice of 25 plans. Members can choose a hospital of choice or a hospital network plan using the Elect or GRID options. The Elect network is very restrictive while the GRID network offers a more comprehensive hospital list. On Elect options, a standard co-payment applies to all hospital admissions except emergency admissions. Balloon sinuplasty is excluded on all options.
On the flexiFED plans, hospitalisation benefits are offered with very limited savings for day to day claims. Additional funds are allocated through MediVault (Wallet) which is accessed only when needed and repaid over a rolling 12-month period, interest free. Members may alternatively select upfront savings at the start of the year, which are added to the monthly contribution under the Fixed options.
